My name is Shirley Rudolf, and I am a native Californian born and raised in the Central San Joaquin Valley. It has been the last twelve years that I have been able to pursue my lifelong dream of painting watercolors. My paintings reflect confidence and expression through the use of vibrant colors and captured details. My works encompass a wide range of subjects--flowers, landscapes, animals, and Native Americans in ceremonial attire. I have been complimented by other artists as having a style that resembles Georgia O'Keefe.
Just in the last three years, I have also found another medium I enjoy painting with, and that is, acrylics. It has been a real challenge adjusting from watercolors to acrylics. Even though watercolors is my first love, acrylics are so forgiving that one cannot imagine not having fun with them.
